Motor has an open aperture, a 1-inch stroke, high speed, and sub-micron positioning accuracy if an external high resolution position sensor is used.

VAN NUYS, Calif. – Moticont in Van Nuys, Calif., is introducing the HVCM-095-051-051-01 hollow-core linear voice coil DC servo motor for testing, optical focusing, positioning, laser beam steering, wafer handling, laser drilling, cutting, welding, and machining applications.

The motor has an open aperture, a 1-inch stroke, high speed, and sub-micron positioning accuracy if an external high resolution position sensor is used.

This Linear DC servo motor has a continuous force rating of 16.1 pounds and a peak force of 50.8 pounds at a 10 percent duty cycle. This non-commutated long life brushless linear servo motor features zero cogging and zero backlash when connected directly to a load, and high acceleration and deceleration.

The 2-inch-diameter open aperture of the HVCM-095-051-051-01 allows for optics, illumination, laser beams, tubing, and cable passage. The extended length of the motor is 3 inches at mid-stroke.

Two threaded 10-32 UNF-2B X 0.38 deep mounting holes on 2.75-inch centers in the housing and coil ends allow for integration into new and existing applications.

Longer stroke, higher force, smaller size, or customized mounting are available. For more information contact Moticont online at www.moticont.com.
