EAST GRINSTEAD, England – Electronics distributor Rhopoint Components Ltd in East Grinstead, England, is offering Alpha Electronics RBF ultra-precision current sense resistor series from VPG Foil Resistors in Malvern, Pa.
The VPG Foil Resistors RBF series offers resistances of between 0.01 and 1 Ohms in a 2-terminal flip-chip package to enable improved performance compared to traditional wire bonding methods.
Typical applications are solar inverters, wind power monitors, power supplies and converters, pulse protection circuits, overcurrent detection, battery management, motor control, and LED lighting.
Temperature coefficient of resistance
The electronic resistors offer tolerances to plus-or-minus 0.5 percent and a temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) of no more than 10 parts per million for every 1 degree Celsius change in temperature between -25 and 125 degrees Celsius.
Key features include 2-terminal current sense resistor; power rating of 1 Watt at 70 C; maximum rated operating temperature of 70 C; and operating temperature range of -65 to 155 C.
