VAN NUYS, Calif. – Moticont in Van Nuys, Calif., is introducing the HVCM-095-064-051-01 hollow-core linear voice coil servo motor for motion control in vibration testing, optical focusing, positioning, laser beam steering, wafer handling, laser drilling, cutting, welding, and machining.
The servo motor has a 1.5-inch stroke and 2-inch open aperture, and provides sub-micron positioning when used with an external high-resolution position sensor in a closed servo loop.
The servo motor for vibration testing has a continuous force rating of 15.4 pounds and a peak force of 48.6 pounds at a 10 percent duty cycle. Clean and quiet. The brushless linear servo motor offers high acceleration and deceleration; zero cogging; and zero backlash when connected to a load.
3.75 inches diameter
The 2-inch-diameter open aperture provides optics, illumination, laser beams, tubing, and cable passage. The motor 3.75 inches in diameter and 3.75 inches long at mid-stroke.
Two threaded mounting holes on 2.75 inch centers in the housing and coil ends allow for flexible and easy integration into new and existing applications. Longer strokes and higher forces are available.
