BLACKSBURG, Va. - VPT Inc., a HEICO company, is making its VPT and VXR Series high-reliability DC-DC converters, EMI filters, and accessories available to U.S. customers through DigiKey, adding a procurement channel for military, avionics, space, and other demanding electronics applications.

VPT's VXR Series commercial off-the-shelf DC-DC converters are designed for commercial avionics and military applications, including uncrewed systems. The converters are designed to withstand severe vibration, shock, and temperature cycling and operate from -55 to 105 degrees Celsius. The series uses VPT's fully encapsulated V-SHIELD packaging for protection in harsh operating environments.

The VXR Series now available through DigiKey includes the VXR125-27000S, which VPT describes as its first 270-volt-input DC-DC converter in the series. The higher input-voltage capability is intended for applications using higher-voltage power architectures, including aerospace and defense platforms.

VPT's Hi-Rel VPT Series is also designed for harsh environments subject to vibration, shock, and temperature cycling. The series is designed to operate from -55 to 100 degrees Celsius and is intended for critical applications requiring reliable power conversion under demanding environmental conditions.

The product offering also includes VPT's EMI filters, which can be used with the company's power converters to address conducted electromagnetic interference in electronic systems.

The addition of DigiKey gives engineers and procurement teams an additional way to source VPT power-conversion products alongside other electronic components used in system designs.
