The Army NIE events are twice-yearly in-field evaluations at Fort Bliss and White Sands designed to further integrate and rapidly progress the Army’s tactical network. The events typically take place in spring and fall.
The Army's upcoming NIE Update to Industry Day and one on one customer feedback sessions from 8:30 a.m. to noon on 19 Nov. is to keep the industrial base informed on planning status for upcoming NIEs and to conduct one on one small group industry feedback sessions, Army officials say.
The event will involve presentations by senior army leadership to update government and industry on the Army's vision and direction for the NIE; requirements for the NIE as a result of identified Army needs; NIE acquisition opportunities; and a short overview of the agile process and NIE laboratory efforts.
Companies interested in attending the NIE Update to Industry Day should register no later than 5 p.m. eastern time on 1 Nov. 2013.
