LOWELL, Mass., 11 Feb. 2013. M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc. in Lowell, Mass., is introducing the MAAL-010528 X-Band low-noise amplifier (LNA) for V-Sat, radar, communications, and microwave applications.

This LNA delivers high gain and linearity performance over the 8-to-12-GHz frequency band. and is packaged in a 3-by-3-millimeter PQFN surface mount.

The MAAL-010528 gallium arsenide (GaAs) monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) LNA provides a nominal Gain of 20 decibels with gain flatness, OIP3 linearity of 26 dBm, and a mid-band noise figure supply of 1.6 decibels.

The part features a self-bias architecture that requires systems designers to apply only one positive supply. In addition, the device is internally matched to 50 Ohms input/output; altogether making the MAAL-010528 well suited for multiple radar and communications applications.
