Ruggedized 1-kilowatt power supply for radar and communications introduced by Excelsys

CORK, Ireland, 6 Aug. 2014. Excelsys Technologies in Cork, Ireland, is introducing the XFN high reliability, ruggedized 1-kilowatt COTS modular power supply for harsh-environment electronics, test and measurement, radar, and communications applications.

CORK, Ireland, 6 Aug. 2014. Excelsys Technologies in Cork, Ireland, is introducing the XFN high reliability, ruggedized 1-kilowatt COTS modular power supply for harsh-environment electronics, test and measurement, radar, and communications applications.

The power electronics device is designed to deliver 1000 Watts at -40 degrees Celsius. The XFN model is in a 1U package and conformally coated and ruggedized as standard to withstand extremes in shock and vibration to MIL-STD-810G levels. The power supply carries safety agency approvals including UL 606950 and is EMC characterized to MIL-STD-461F.

Other standard features include 47-to-440-Hz input frequency, 1.5-to-58-volt standard output, individual output control, field configurability with option to factory fix, and efficiency of as much as 91 percent.

The device has over voltage, over temperature, and over current protection, provide a 5V/250mA bias standby voltage, individual output control of every output module, a market leading five-year warranty and are SEMI F47 compliant for use in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
