CHELMSFORD, Mass., 9 Dec. 2006 2006. Hittite Microwave Corp. in Chelmsford, Mass., introduced a single-balanced gallium arsenide monolithic microwave integrated circuit mixer for cellular/3G and general-purpose applications from 0.7 to 1.2 GHz.

The HMC277MS8(E) features high LO to RF isolation and low conversion loss. The passive diode mixer topology requires no DC bias, and no external matching components.

The HMC277MS8(E) exhibits a wide IF bandwidth of DC to 300 MHz, and can be used in upconversion and downconversion applications.

The HMC277MS8(E) is housed in a RoHS compliant MSOP8 "E" SMT package, and shares a common pinout with Hittite's line of MSOP8 packaged mixers that operate 1.7 to 3.0 GHz.
