American Government Services and Harris Corporation contribute to FTI-SAT program

WASHINGTON, 24 May 2006. Americom Government Services Inc. (AGS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of SES Americom, is partnering with prime contractor Harris Corporation to support the FTI Satellite (FTI-SAT) program of the Federal Aviation Administration. Under a multi-year contract, AGS will provide Ku-band and C-band connectivity, as well as redundant teleport facilities.

WASHINGTON, 24 May 2006. Americom Government Services Inc. (AGS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of SES Americom, is partnering with prime contractor Harris Corporation to support the FTI Satellite (FTI-SAT) program of the Federal Aviation Administration. Under a multi-year contract, AGS will provide Ku-band and C-band connectivity, as well as redundant teleport facilities.

Through the FTI-SAT program, current satellite equipment will be replaced with solutions offering support radar, weather, and cockpit in air traffic controller communications. The program calls for reliable and redundant voice and data communications between planes and air traffic control systems.

AGS is supporting the program with the AMC-9 and AMC-6 spacecrafts.
