Industrial-grade AC-DC power supplies for test and measurement introduced by TDK Lambda

SAN DIEGO – TDK-Lambda Americas Inc. in San Diego is introducing the RWS1000B and RWS1500B industrial AC-DC power supplies for industrial, test and measurement, broadcast, communications, and LED signage equipment.

These power supplies are designed to provide solid performance at an economical price. The RWS-B series has seven power levels ranging from 50 to 1500 Watts.

These new 1000- and 1500-Watt devices are available with 12-, 15-, 24-, 36-, and 48-volt outputs, adjustable from minus 15 to plus 10 percent of nominal.

All models accept an 85-to-265-volt AC input and can operate at full load in temperatures from -20 to 50 degrees Celsius ambient temperatures, derating linearly to 60 percent load at 60 C. Efficiencies to 88 percent reduce internal waste heat and component temperatures, resulting in electrolytic capacitor service life predictions of at least 10 years.

Output cable connections are made to screw terminal blocks with covers rather than busbars. The terminal block also can be configured for either a vertical or horizontal wiring orientation.

The RWS1000B measures 127 by 63 by 198 millimeters, and the RWS1500B measures 127 by 63 by 261 millimeters. Options for the power supplies include double-sided board coating, reverse airflow that extends operating temperatures to 70 C, remote on/off, current share, and an isolated DC good/fan fail signal.

The TDK-Lambda RWS-B 1000- and 1500-Watt models are certified to the safety standards of UL/CSA/EN 60950-1 and are CE marked according to the Low Voltage and RoHS2 Directives. All models offer curve B conducted and radiated performance to EN55011/EN55032-B, meet EN 61000-3-2 harmonics, IEC 61000-4 immunity and SEMI F47 line dip standards.
