VAN NUYS, Calif. –VAN NUYS, Calif. MotiCont in Van Nuys, Calif., is introducing two 1-inch-diameter compact, high-force-to-size ratio motors as part of the company's line of Linear Voice Coil Motors (LVCM) for laser machining and drilling, wafer handling, optical focusing, dynamic vibration absorption, scanners, and laser beam steering and filtering.
The LVCM-025-022-01 has a stroke length of 0.375 inches, a mid-stroke length of 1.3 inches, and it has a high-force-to-size ratio of 16.9 ounces and a peak force of 53.5 ounces. at 10 percent duty cycle.
The LVCM-025-029-01 has a stroke length of 0.625 inches, a mid-stroke length of 1.68 inches, a continuous force of 18.2 ounces, and a peak force of 57.7 ounces at 10 percent duty cycle.
These clean, quiet, efficient, low inertia, high acceleration, brushless high speed linear motors have zero cogging and feature high accuracy, and high repeatability when operated in a closed loop as a DC servo motor.

Each of these motors for laser beam steering features a 10-32 UNC-2B threaded mounting hole in the center of the housing and two 6-32-UNC-2B threaded mounting holes on the coil end to add one of these motors to new or existing applications.
Metric series threads are available in production quantities and complete plug-and-play systems including an encoder and controller are also available.
There are 12 series of Moticont's LVCM series motors based on diameter of the motor, and over 50 models based on length of stroke and/or force to select from. For more information contact Moticont online at http://moticont.com/voice-coil-motor.htm.
