SHAKOPEE, Minn. – Rosemount Inc., a division of Emerson in Shakopee, Minn., is introducing the 3144S temperature transmitter industrial measurement system for demanding temperature measurement challenges.
The Rosemount 3144S temperature sensor offers 0.05-degree-Celsius accuracy, 20-year stability, advanced diagnostics, and enhanced ease-of-use with ReadyConnect Technology for efficient and safe operations.
Instances of a measurement point performing erratically or failing can have a major influence on productivity. Greater ease-of-use also is critical.
The Rosemount 3144S temperature transmitter is available with an optional 20-year stability specification and a 20-year limited warranty.
Plug-and-play configuration
Emerson's ReadyConnect technology enables plug-and-play sensor configuration to eliminate the need to input sensor information manually, and offers Callendar-Van Dusen coefficients.
The temperature transmitter offers an simplified operator interface and menu, and buttons provide local access to basic commissioning and maintenance tasks like viewing the current configuration, performing a loop test, and rotating the display.
Bluetooth wireless technology provides remote access to the device at distances as far as 50 feet, AND can measure temperatures as high as 650 degrees C.
Diagnostic coverage
The transmitter provides diagnostic coverage with the loop integrity diagnostic and RTD measurement protection, and includes sensor health diagnostics, dual input capabilities, and continuous electrical loop monitoring.
Loop integrity monitors the electrical loop continuously to detect potential failures before they occur, while RTD measurement protection switches from a 4-wire to a 3-wire RTD sensor input configuration if one of the four sensor wires becomes broken, corroded, or loose.
