IDS Imaging introduces IP69K-rated uEye SFA monitoring camera

The camera features an 8-megapixel Sony IMX678 image sensor from the STARVIS 2 series, designed to provide imaging performance in low-light environments.

OBERSULM, Germany - IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH has expanded its uEye Live industrial monitoring camera family with the uEye SFA, an IP69K-rated model designed for applications involving dust, moisture, and high-pressure cleaning.

The camera features an 8-megapixel Sony IMX678 image sensor from the STARVIS 2 series, designed for low-light performance. Its rugged housing protects against dust and high-pressure water jets, while screw-lock connectors provide secure electrical connections.

The uEye SFA supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), transmitting data and electrical power through a single cable over distances of up to 100 meters. The camera also supports standalone operation, video streaming, hardware-accelerated encoding and event-based recording. Multiple video streams can operate simultaneously with independently configured settings for industrial process monitoring.

The uEye Live family also includes the compact uEye SCP, measuring 29 by 29 by 29 millimeters, and the single-board uEye SLE, measuring 45 by 45 millimeters.
