BOHEMIA, N.Y., 12 Sept. 2010. Data Device Corp. (DDC) in Bohemia, N.Y., is introducing a version of its BusTrACEr Mil-Std-1553 data bus analyzer and monitor software that enables programmers to generate and monitor MIL-STD-1553 traffic with a point and click graphic user interface, and then generate ANSI C code with the click of a button. The software helps engineers generate or monitor live 1553 data without writing code to emulate a bus controller, a standalone or concurrent bus monitor, and as many as 31 remote terminals.

BusTrACEr features advanced error injection capability; inject errors such as bit and word count, glitch, inverse, and gap errors, in BC messages; set an error for a particular RT; easy-to-read graphical viewer; monitor individual RT bus load and activity; and monitor bit-level timing. BusTrACEr is compatible with DDC's line of MIL-STD-1553 test and embedded cards, allowing design, test, and application engineers the ability to efficiently reuse prewritten code, without reprogramming.
