CALABASAS, Calif., 12 Sept, 2007. National Technical Systems Inc., a provider of engineering services, has signed an agreement to relocate the complete Dynamics and Environmental Test Laboratory from the U.S. Navy's Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Panama City, Fla., Base to the company's Camden Operations facility.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City is one of the research, development, test, and evaluation laboratories of the U.S. Navy and boasts a wide base of expertise in engineering and scientific disciplines.

William C. McGinnis, CEO, states, "The entire facility has been moved to the NTS Camden Operations and will be brought on-line to support testing hazardous and non-hazardous systems and components."

The NTS National Ordnance and Environmental Test Center at NTS Camden is one of the few independent test facilities equipped to conduct the wide array of complex development, qualification, and acceptance tests on weapon systems, ordnance, rocket motors, hazardous materials, and commercial products required by government and commercial standards.

NTS' engineers and technicians utilize specialized test equipment and infrastructure, diagnostic instrumentation, and data acquisition tools to provide sophisticated test, engineering support, and analysis services.

The multidiscipline test facility also features a 3,000-meter Large Caliber Ballistics Range; a rocket range; a large function and Arena Test area for weapons, munitions and warheads; Shock and Drop tower facilities; large Dynamics and Climatic test facilities; and numerous large concrete storage magazines for ordnance.
