Navy releases Unmanned Surface Vehicle Master Plan

WASHINGTON, 23 Sept. 2007. The Navy's Program Executive Officer Littoral and Mine Warfare, Unmanned Maritime Vehicles Program Office has just released its Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) Master Plan. The plan will serve as a road map for Navy USV development.

WASHINGTON, 23 Sept. 2007. The Navy's Program Executive Officer Littoral and Mine Warfare, Unmanned Maritime Vehicles Program Office has just released its Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) Master Plan. The plan will serve as a road map for Navy USV development.

The purpose of the USV Master Plan is to ensure industry, academic, government research, and international partners are aware of the Navy's USV plans so that they can align their efforts and design systems to meet the Navy's infrastructure and to address current and future warfighter needs.

Copies of the plan are available to industry, academia, government research, and development organizations.
