Comtech Telecommunications delivers managed satellite services to U.S. Marine Corps
MELVILLE, N.Y. Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) officials in Fort Meade, Maryland, are exercising a $14.5 million, fourth-year option under an existing contract under which Comtech Telecommunications Corp.’s (Nasdaq: CMTL) Command & Control Technologies group, part of Comtech’s Government Solutions segment in Melville, N.Y., will continue to provide Ku satellite bandwidth and support services for the U.S. Marine Corps' Tactical Satellite Communications Network.
Comtech is providing the Marine Corps with commercial satellite services to various terminals to extend the Marine Corps Enterprise Network for deployed users.

This order was issued under the joint DISA/ The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Future Commercial SATCOM Acquisition program. DISA and GSA are managing this procurement through the $2.6 billion Custom SATCOM Solutions (CS2) contract vehicle. Comtech is one of eight prime contract awardees of CS2.
The fourth option year covers the period from 1 August 2017 through 31 July 2018. DISA has funded $73 million to date on this contract.
