ZURICH -- Maintenance, repair and overhaul services provider SR Technics has signed an agreement with Germany's Eurowings to provide MRO support for the carrier's engines.
The two-year deal covers Eurowings' fleet of CFM56-5B engines, with work to be performed in SR Technics' support facility at the Kloten Airport in Zurich.
"We are delighted to have won Eurowings as a customer," said Michael Sattler, chief commercial officer at SR Technics. "This clearly reflects on our excellent relationship with Eurowings, and our ability to adapt to challenging scheduling requirements and offer flexible solutions."
Eurowings is a low-cost subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, with more than 100 aircraft servicing 80 European destinations.
"Optimal technical support of our aircraft is an essential prerequisite for the success of Eurowings," said Michael Knitter, chief operations officer at Eurowings.
