The Digital Hangar currently features seven aircraft models with ranges from 600 to 4,630 km and capacities of 9 to 250 passengers, using various fuels including hydrogen and synthetic kerosene. Key specifications are displayed in an easy-to-compare card format with additional details and 3D models for in-depth exploration. Many aircraft originate from DLR’s EXACT project, a major initiative focused on sustainable, commercially viable aviation. Notable concepts include the DLR-F25, a medium-haul aircraft with folding wingtips and synthetic fuel capability, serving as a reference for climate-friendly technologies. The D150-BWB model features a unique blended wing body design, offering aerodynamic and acoustic benefits, though it presents challenges in passenger comfort and design integration. The Digital Hangar fosters innovation by integrating scientific research into aircraft development.
