VP460 6U VPX embedded computing board has the Xilinx 16x16 RF system-on-chip (RFSoC) and Xilinx Ultrascale+ FPGA with high-bandwidth memory.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Abaco Systems is introducing the SOSA-aligned VP460 direct RF processing system to enable development of embedded computing for multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO), beamforming, sensor processing, radar, software-defined radio (SDR), and signals intelligence (SIGINT) in multi-channel electronic warfare (EW) applications.

The VP460 is a 6U VPX embedded computing implementation of the Xilinx 16x16 RF system-on-chip (RFSoC) technology combined with the Xilinx Ultrascale+ field-programmable gate array (FPGA) with high bandwidth memory (HBM).

The VP460 direct RF processing system complements the previously announced VP430 3U VPX direct RF processing system. It features 16 integrated analog-to-digital converters that run at 2 gigasamples per second, and 16 digital-to-analog converters at 6.4 gigasamples per second.

Also included are a user-programmable FPGA fabric and multi-core Zynq ARM processing subsystem. The HBM VU37P device features the speed and capabilities of an UltraScale+ FPGA together with integrated DRAM in the FPGA package, and can transfer on-chip data as quickly as 460 gigabytes per second.

The VP460 embedded computing system includes a PCI Express Gen3 data plane, and as many as 64 high-speed serial lanes to the Xilinx Virtex Ultrascale+ HBM device to support protocols such as PCI Express Gen3, 10/40 Gigabit Ethernet, and Aurora.
