LCR officials say they plan to apply the high-speed technology to backplanes for the company's rugged ATR and rackmount chassis lineup.

NORRISTOWN, Pa. – LCR Embedded Systems Inc. in Norristown, Pa., has completed testing of 100 Gigabit Ethernet and PCI Express Gen 4 VPX multi-slot 3U VPX backplanes that exceed the performance levels of ANSI/VITA 68.1-2017 for use in demanding and high-performance embedded computing applications.

LCR officials say they plan to apply the rugged high-speed technology to backplanes for the company's rugged ATR and rackmount chassis lineup and DK3 and DK6 VPX development platform.

LCR also has developed a backplane test system for high-speed data transmission allowing for S-parameter characterization to 26.5 GHz. This system was verified by an outside test laboratory to provide independent verification of performance.

Industry demand for high data rates will continue to grow along with advancements in radar, signals intelligence (SIGINT), electronic warfare (EW), and electronic attack (EA) applications, says LCR President Dan Manoukian.
