HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., 8 Nov. 2016. Behlman Electronics Inc. in Hauppauge, N.Y., is introducing the VPXtra1500CS3 6U front-end OpenVPX single-phase AC embedded power module for military shipboard, airborne, and mobile power electronics applications.

The Behlman VPXtra1500CS3 is for applications powered by 1-phase AC power sources. The power electronics module meets VITA 62 OpenVPX standards and delivers 1500 Watts of 33-volt DC power.

Input current harmonics comply with MIL-STD-461 (CE101) and MIL-STD-1399. In addition, these front-end modules have no minimum load requirement and have over-voltage and short-circuit protection, as well as over-current and thermal protection.

The VPXtra1500CS3 is power factor corrected, and accepts from 85 to 265 volts AC at 47 to 440 Hz input, which assures compatibility with standard U.S. or aircraft single-phase power as well as 220, 230, or 240 volts AC Euro power at 50 Hz.
