Navy SPAWAR chooses three companies to provide technology services in deals worth $1.66 billion

SAN DIEGO, 12 July 2016. U.S. Navy communications and battle-management experts are awarding three contracts potentially worth a cumulative $1.66 billion for systems, hardware, software, network, and security engineering technology services.

SAN DIEGO, 12 July 2016. U.S. Navy communications and battle-management experts are awarding three contracts potentially worth a cumulative $1.66 billion for systems, hardware, software, network, and security engineering technology services.

Officials of the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center-Pacific (SPAWAR) announced three-year contracts Monday to Advanced Sciences and Technologies LLC in Berlin, N.J.; Data Intelligence LLC in Marlton, N.J.; and 22nd Century Technologies Inc. in McLean, Va., to provide technology services.

In addition to systems, hardware, software, network, and security engineering services, the three contractors will provide logistics planning, post development assembly and testing, world-wide system maintenance, user documentation, installation and fielding of systems at user sites.

The three companies will receive $98 million up-front, and will compete for orders totaling a cumulative $1.66 billion.

Advanced Sciences and Technologies won a $35.1 million contract with options that could bring it to $59.9 million; Data Intelligence won a $33.1 million contract that has options that could bring its value to $56.1 million; and 22nd Century Technologies won a contract worth $29.8 million with options that could bring its value to $50.3 million.

The contractors will have the opportunity to compete for task orders during the ordering period. The companies will do the work in Philadelphia; Berlin, N.J.; Marlton, N.J.; and McLean, Va., and should be finished by July 2019.
