HIAWATHA, Iowa, 11 July 2013. Crystal Group Inc. in Hiawatha, Iowa, is introducing the RS347L26 Quad Xeon-based rugged computer for ground fixed and mobile applications where virtualization and memory capacity is at a premium.
The rugged computer the measures 5.25 by 18 by 26 inches has Quad Octo Core processors, a memory capacity of 1024 gigabytes, four PCI Express x16 expansion slots, and as much as 1 terabyte of registered DDR3 RAM.
The RS347S26 has a SuperMicro Quad Xeon motherboard, 4-by-E5-4600 series CPUs, and is powered by a redundant 1200-Watt AC power supply. Additional ruggedization options for MIL-STD-810G/MIL-S-901D shock and vibration, as well as conformal coating options for humidity protection are available.
The rugged computer operates in temperatures from -40 to 55 degrees Celsius with full CPU load, without throttling. This system is designed to MIL-STD-810G, and is appropriate for multi-threaded processing in the field.
