NORTH ANDOVER, Mass., 9 July 2014. WIN Enterprises Inc. in North Andover, Mass., is introducing the PL-10480 2U rackmount hardware platform for network service applications like unified threat management, enterprise network firewalls, application delivery controllers, WAN optimization control, and intrusion prevention.

The PL-10480 supports the 22-nanometer Haswell Intel Core i3/i5/i7 or E3-1200V3 processors and uses the Intel extended-life Embedded IA versions of these components to enable long OEM product life.

The device supports a maximum of 32 gigabytes DDR3 1333/1600 MHz system memory, and a maximum 48x Gigabit Ethernet LAN copper/fiber ports.

The 2U platform supports four un-buffered and non-ECC DDR3 1333/1600 MHz DIMM sockets with a maximum capacity of 32 gigabytes. To provide the best network performance and use, storage interfaces include one 2.5-inch SATA hard disk drive and CompactFlash.

The PL-10480 supports one PCI Express x4 expansion slot and comes standard with 2 Gigabit Ethernet LAN expandable to a maximum of 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports accessible from the front-panel.

The front panel also has one USB 2.0 port, one RJ-45 console port and LED indicators that monitor power and storage device activities for local system management, maintenance and diagnostics. The PL-10480 is RoHS, FCC and CE compliant.
