MCLEAN, Va., 27 Sept. 2011. Sotera Defense Solutions, a provider of mission-critical, technology-based systems, solutions, and services for national security agencies and U.S. government programs, has acquired Software Process Technologies Inc. (SPT). SPT offers mission-focused, specialized software engineering capabilities in support of its customers’ cyber intelligence missions. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The company, expected to generate roughly $35 million in 2011 revenue, delivers a unique solutions focus, technical expertise, and direct exposure to programs addressing the pressing cyber security mission requirements of the intelligence community, according to a representative.

Dockstader will lead SPT, now known as Software Process Technologies, a Sotera Defense Solutions Company.
