Curtiss-Wright to develop anti-tamper tools with partner Arxan Defense Systems

LEESBURG, Va., 3 Aug. 2008. Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing in Leesburg, Va., is partnering with Arxan Defense Systems Inc. in West Lafayette, Ind., to develop tamper-proof tools to help real-time rugged embedded computer designers comply with U.S. military anti-tamper policies.

LEESBURG, Va., 3 Aug. 2008.Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing in Leesburg, Va., is partnering with Arxan Defense Systems Inc. in West Lafayette, Ind., to develop anti-tamper tools to help embedded systems designers comply with the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) anti-tamper provisions in the Defense Acquisition Guidebook.

Curtiss-Wright engineers will combine their company's embedded computing products with Arxan's EnforcIT anti-tamper protection system that prevents, detects, and reacts against application attacks.

"We will integrate Arxan's best-of-breed anti-tamper platform and verification and validation processes to establish ourselves as an vendor of anti-tamper-friendly products," says Lynn Patterson, vice president and general manager of modular solutions at Curtiss-Wright.

"Protecting mission critical programs against tampering demands a solution in many layers, including tamper detection and customizable reactions against attacks," says Rich Earley, chief executive officer and president of Arxan Defense Systems.
