DataPath Awarded $1.7 Million to Support DISA Teleport Operated by U.S. Air Force

DULUTH, Ga., 7 Aug. 2008.DataPath Inc. in Duluth, Ga., to provide field services support for the U.S. Air Force satellite communications teleport at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, under terms of a $1.7 million contract from the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in Arlington, Va.

The teleport, a DISA hub for military communications, links military X band networks with commercial Ku band networks to provide network-centric, high-bandwidth capabilities to U.S. forces. DataPath installed the teleport and has supported it for seven years.

"Our experts onsite at Ramstein have provided quality service working alongside the U.S. Air Force since the teleport was established," says Steve Lindeman, vice president of Business Operations at DataPath.
