ETTLINGEN, Germany, 3 March 2009. Military system designers at Thales Air Systems in Neuilly sur Seine, France, needed virtual machine military software for Normandie and Ground Master 400 ground radar systems. They found their solution in the PERC real time software from Aonix GmbH in Ettlingen, Germany.

Deterministic behavior at a low latency time was the primary challenge of the applications done in Java. PERC's predictable behavior and deterministic garbage collector enabled the Thales software team to achieve their time-critical execution deadlines, Aonix officials say.

Normandie is a French radar system for ballistic missile tracking and measurement. GM 400 is a high-, medium-, and low-altitude digital radar. The PERC virtual machine is to be deployed in all of Thales's new-generation radars, Aonix officials say.

PERC Ultra is a virtual machine and toolset for demanding embedded and real-time systems requiring J2SE support. For more information contact Aonix online at www.aonix.com.
