Aircraft wiring harness for HH-60M medevac helicopter to be provided to Sikorsky by LaBarge

ST. LOUIS, 20 Aug. 2010. LaBarge Inc. in St. Louis will provide aircraft wiring harness technology for the HH-60 medevac helicopter under terms of a $5 million contract from HH-60 manufacturer Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. in Stratford, Conn. The contract expands LaBarge's manufacturing role to include wiring harnesses for the main cabin of the medevac helicopter -- part of the Black Hawk helicopter line for which LaBarge has manufactured cables and electronic assemblies since 2005.

LaBarge Inc. in St. Louis will provide aircraft wiring harness technology for the HH-60 medevac helicopter under terms of a $5 million contract from HH-60 manufacturer Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. in Stratford, Conn. The avionics wiring harness contract expands LaBarge's manufacturing role to include wiring harnesses for the main cabin of the medevac helicopter -- part of the Black Hawk helicopter line for which LaBarge has manufactured cables and electronic assemblies since 2005.

Production on the military wiring harness contract is at LaBarge (NYSE Amex: LB) facility in Berryville, Ark., and should be finished by December 2014. The Black Hawk helicopter is the U.S. Army's primary utility tactical transport helicopter, which is capable of missions from combat assault and peacekeeping to disaster relief and medical evacuation. The HH-60M medevac helicopter provides modern medical care from the injury site while en route to a distant hospital.
