L-3 Interstate Electronics Corp. teams with Applied Energetics

ANAHEIM, Calif., 11 Oct. 2010. L-3 Interstate Electronics Corp. (L-3 IEC) has entered into a strategic teaming agreement with Applied Energetics Inc. to pursue Department of Defense (DOD) contracts involving counter-IED systems. Under the terms of this agreement, Applied Energetics will serve as prime contractor with IEC positioned as subcontractor. The two companies will collaborate on such levels as proposal development, strategic marketing, systems engineering, and support services.

ANAHEIM, Calif., 11 Oct. 2010. L-3 Interstate Electronics Corp. (L-3 IEC) has entered into a strategic teaming agreement with Applied Energetics Inc. to pursue Department of Defense (DOD) contracts involving counter-IED systems. Under the terms of this agreement, Applied Energetics will serve as prime contractor with IEC positioned as subcontractor. The two companies will collaborate on such levels as proposal development, strategic marketing, systems engineering, and support services.

L-3 IEC will contribute expertise in systems engineering, configuration control, and field support. Applied Energetics will provide expertise in high-voltage electronics, systems development, systems integration, and system testing.

“This teaming agreement will allow IEC and Applied Energetics to work together to provide unique technical solutions for U.S. and allied military forces, addressing urgent missions such as the neutralization of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs),” says Gina Andrukaitis, vice president and general manger, Instrumentation Systems, “Together, we will pursue opportunities to develop innovative tools and technologies critical to protecting our warfighters.”
