FREMONT, Calif., 12 April 2010. S3 Graphics, a provider of graphics visualization technologies, is partnering with Presagis, a provider of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) modeling, simulation, and embedded display graphics software, for the delivery of an optimized display driver for the S3 Graphics 2300E GPU in safety-critical avionicsapplications.
Presagis will provide associated services for the S3 Graphics 2300E GPU, including customized porting support, essential for customers assembling proprietary hardware systems. The new driver solution is well-suited for safety-critical applications in avionics that use DO-178B and DO-254 certified applications. S3 Graphics will provide Presagis and customers with the data required to meet these certification standards up through Design Assurance Level A.
