Bullseye® Apodizing Filters: Eliminates Undesirable Intensity Variations

Reynard

Bullseye® Apodizing filters are customizable optical components with a density gradient that varies radially from the center to the edge. These filters are designed to reduce unwanted intensity fluctuations in optical systems or to adjust the wavefront of light sources.

Common Gaussian density distribution filters also change radially, either from the center to the edge or vice versa, with a monolithic increase or decrease across the substrate. Manufactured on premium N-BK7 or other high-quality materials, these filters are available with optical density gradients ranging from 0.01 to 5 OD and come in standard sizes of 25mm and 50mm in diameter.

Reynard also offers customized Bullseye® Apodizing Filters which can be designed for any mathematical function regardless of the size of the beam. These filters are produced on a custom basis to meet any distribution function. Available on any substrate material, sizes up to 6” and can be designed to operate at any wavelength from the UV to the infrared. Applications which require maximum transmission may also use anti-reflective coatings to maximize throughput in the high transmission zones.
