NASHUA, N.H. - Military + Aerospace Electronics and Airborn Inc. in Georgetown, Texas, cordially invite you to a free webinar on 5 June 2024 to learn more about Airborn's new 2000+ 6U VPX power supplies. This event is sponsored by Airborn Inc.

“Same Footprint, Double the Power!” The Power Blade module is designed to support the rigors of mission critical mil-aero and defense applications. It offers 2000W+ output in the same 6U footprint―nearly double compared to other 6U VPX power supplies.

Power Blade is a SOSA-aligned, rugged, highly reliable, conduction-cooled, switch mode unit built for high-end defense and space applications.

The new Power Blade series boasts power dissipation of less than 128W per board allowing most existing systems to be immediately upgraded for higher power, with less loss per board. Lower losses mean lower operating temperatures and higher reliability. Power Blades may be paralleled for higher power requirements.

Presenters at this event are Jerry Hovdestad, principal business analyst, and Scott Poole, director of development and design engineering, both of Airborn.

Jerry Hovdestad has been an integral part of AirBorn for nearly three years, primarily tasked with overseeing the Power Blade project to ensure its compliance with VITA and SOSA industry standards while meeting current industry demands. He serves as the recent chairman of ANSI/VITA 62.0 2022 edition and has played a pivotal role in shaping the technical content of previous editions. Additionally, Jerry actively monitors various VITA and SOSA initiatives across power domains, as well as efforts toward connector and mechanical assembly standardization.

Scott Poole has been leading a power engineering team at AirBorn since 2004, headquartered in Lake City, Pennsylvania. His expertise spans from global power electronic development for high-power welding R&D in industrial and automotive markets prior to his tenure at AirBorn. Under Scott's leadership, the team at AirBorn has expanded beyond its established presence in Military and Defense markets, venturing into the Power Conversion market.
