The X, Y, and Z axis speeds are controlled by the tilt angle of the handle and the angle of rotation of the knob.

VAN NUYS, Calif. – Optimal Engineering Systems Inc. (OES) in Van Nuys, Calif., is introducing a line of joysticks for 1-, 2-, and 3-axis stages and actuators.

These are easy-to-use single-handed, ergonomic joysticks that provide proportional motion control of the X, Y, and Z axis of from one to three actuators.

Low-, medium-, and high-speed ranges are button-selectable. The X, Y, and Z axis speeds are controlled by the tilt angle of the handle and the angle of rotation of the knob. The maximum speeds may be set by the user via the supplied graphic user interface (GUI).

The JMC-1, JMC-2, and JMC-3 series of joysticks include: -01 series for step and direction signal outputs; -02 series for quadrature signal outputs; -03 series for PWM and direction signal outputs; and for -04 series a USB interface.

The two slide switches engage and disengage the joystick for shipping. For stability, the footprint of these joysticks is 4.76 inches wide by 7.80 inches long. These, low-cost joysticks have a 5.5-foot cord and the standard connector is a 25-pin-DB-25, male connector.
