HARRISBURG, Pa., 7 Feb. 2012. TE Connectivity in Harrisburg, Pa., is introducing the KILOVAC CAP202 series two-pole, single-throw contactors for power motion control, power distribution, high-voltage DC converter, and test equipment applications. The devices are capable of handling 350 amps per pole voltage range of 12 to 900 volts DC. The contactors have main contacts are not polarity sensitive, so bidirectional switching is enabled. In addition, the devices are not position sensitive and can be mounted in any orientation.

TE Connectivity in Harrisburg, Pa., is introducing the KILOVAC CAP202 series two-pole, single-throw electric contactors for power motion control, power distribution, high-voltage DC converter, and test equipment applications. The devices are capable of handling 350 amps per pole voltage range of 12 to 900 volts DC.

The power electronics contactors have main contacts are not polarity sensitive, so bidirectional switching is enabled. In addition, the devices are not position sensitive and can be mounted in any orientation, TE Connectivity officials say.

Hermetic sealing makes the high-power electronics contactors safe for application in harsh and corrosive environments, and can eliminate contact oxidation over periods of non-use. An integrated coil economizer reduces the power required to hold the contacts closed to 270 milliamps at 28 volts DC. Coil suppression reduces radiated coil emissions for EMC compliance.
