These solenoids offer 130 pounds of force, have a non-captive plunger swith a 1-inch stroke at a variety of voltage-dependent duty cycles.

Summary points:

  • S-16-264 clapper solenoids deliver as much as 130 pounds of pull force with a 1-inch stroke for demanding applications like fire-suppression and detent latches.
  • Measuring 2.625 inches in diameter and 1.56 inches long, these solenoids are for applications where space is limited.
  • Features include a non-captive plunger, optional spring return, and low-friction bearing guidance, with mounting via rugged threaded studs.

VAN NUYS, Calif. – Magnetic Sensor Systems in Van Nuys, Calif., is introducing the S-16-264 series powerful low-profile pull-type clapper solenoids for motion control in fire-suppression systems, door controls, detent latches, and sorting equipment.

These solenoids are 2.625 inches in diameter with a body length of 1.56 inches and total plunger length of 4.7 inches, and have ampere windings adjusted to meet force and duty cycle requirements.

These solenoids offer 130 pounds of force, have a non-captive plunger swith a 1-inch stroke at a variety of voltage-dependent duty cycles.

These solenoids for motion control come with 4-inch leads and an optional built-in spring to extend the plunger when power is removed. The 0.375-inch-diameter shaft with 3/8-24 thread guided by a low friction bearing extends 1.94 inches beyond the plunger surface. Mounting is via two 1/4-20 threaded studs on 1.75-inch bolt circle.
