MURPHY, N.C., 4 Jan. 2016. Aegis Power Systems Inc. in Murphy, N.C., is introducing the LMA501 DC-DC converter for military and other rugged power electronics applications that must operate in harsh environments.

This power supply delivers high power capability and high efficiency in a low-profile, easy-to-mount layout. The LMA501 provides 750 Watts of power with 93 percent typical efficiency and is designed as a complement to the Aegis Power Systems VME550 series of rack-mounted 28Vdc power cards.

The LMA501 can also be configured with other output voltages of 12, 24, and 48 volts DC and may be paralleled for higher power capabilities.

The cold-plate-ooled LMA501 power converter measures - 4.5 by 6 by 0.75 inches, making it suitable for use in a variety of compact devices including unmanned vehicles, aircraft, robotics, and defense equipment.
