Bourns introduces LTCC diplexer for GNSS L-band receivers
RIVERSIDE, Calif., - Bourns has introduced the Model FDP2009N122157H4 low-temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) diplexer for radio-frequency front-end applications in global navigation satellite system (GNSS) L-band receivers.
The diplexer integrates distributed inductive and capacitive elements into a monolithic ceramic structure and supports two frequency ranges: 1164 to 1285 MHz and 1539 to 1606 MHz. The frequency ranges support separation of GNSS L1, L2, and L5 signals in receiver architectures.
The FDP2009N122157H4 provides maximum insertion loss of 1.0 decibel at 25 degrees Celsius, with typical insertion loss of 0.56 dB in the lower band and 0.87 dB in the higher band. Maximum insertion loss is 1.2 dB across the -40 to +105 C operating temperature range. The device provides minimum attenuation and isolation of 20 dB, minimum return loss of 10 dB, 50-ohm impedance, and maximum power capacity of 3 watts.
The diplexer is housed in a 2.0-by-1.25-by-0.9-millimeter package. Bourns lists applications including GNSS receiver RF front ends, GPS-based positioning and navigation systems, timing synchronization infrastructure requiring frequency separation, and satellite-enabled agriculture and surveying equipment.
