Rugged handheld spectrum analyzer for field test and measurement applications introduced by SAF Tehnika

RIGA, Latvia – SAF Tehnika JSC in Riga, Latvia, is introducing the Spectrum Compact 6-to-20 GHz spectrum analyzer for field engineers and technicians responsible for link planning, installation, site acceptance, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wireless networks.

The spectrum analyzer has sensitivity of -110 dBm at 30 kHz resolution bandwidth, battery life of as long as four hours, and instant-on functionality for quick startup and operation.

The test and measurement device measures 5.31 by 3.27 by 1.34 inches, weighs 20.11 ounces, and is for mobile carriers, telecommunications professionals, Internet service providers, and contractors responsible for regulatory and compliance, drone applications, and satellite operation.

The rugged device has a resistive touchscreen for operation with gloves, and has high-contrast and full-display modes for readability in bright light. Durable thumbscrews for the waveguide adapter connections help the Spectrum Compact withstand harsh environments.

Users can save spectrum traces in the integrated eight gigabytes of memory for offline analysis, investigation, and reporting using the Spectrum Manager PC software. The device also offers E-band (70 to 87 GHz) and V-band (56 to 71 GHz).
