AUSTIN, Texas - Emerson has updated its NI SystemLink test operations software with resource scheduling, connected test planning, and artificial intelligence capabilities designed to help engineering teams improve laboratory utilization, troubleshoot problems, and increase test throughput.

The updated software integrates NI Nigel AI with SystemLink to provide engineering insights using test data and operational context, including equipment status, software versions, configurations, schedules, and workflow history. The integration is intended to help engineers identify issues, recognize trends, and determine potential causes of test failures.

SystemLink also adds connected test planning and resource scheduling capabilities to coordinate equipment, personnel, and testing activities across laboratories. Other updates include preconfigured dashboards and workflows, streamlined licensing, simplified software offerings, and expanded deployment options.

Emerson reports that customer studies have shown a 95 percent reduction in time spent on reporting and analysis. The company also cites up to twice the daily test throughput with connected test operations.

SystemLink is designed for engineering organizations that use testing to validate product performance, quality, and reliability across industries including aerospace and defense, semiconductor, automotive, and electronics manufacturing. The software brings test data, equipment assets, software, and workflows into a common environment, helping engineers correlate test results with the operational conditions under which they were generated.

Emerson introduced SystemLink in 2018. The latest enhancements are intended to support both organizations beginning to adopt connected test operations and larger enterprises managing customized workflows across multiple sites.
