2.8-megapixel CCD cameras for high-end surveillance applications introduced by JAI
COPENHAGEN, 26 Aug. 2013. JAI A/S in Copenhagen is introducing the EL-2800M-PMCL and EL-2800C-PMCL 2.8-megapixel industrial cameras for outdoor applications with changing lighting conditions such as in traffic imaging, high-end surveillance, and sports imaging.
The cameras offer high-fidelity ICX674 CCD imagers from Sony featuring EXview HAD CCD II technology, and are for electro-optics applications where image quality is paramount, company officials say.
The EL-2800 cameras can run 54.7 frames per second at full resolution of 1920 by 1440 pixels, and 60 frames per second in HD-mode of 1920 by 1080 pixels.
Featuring automatic level control (ALC), P-iris controlm and a programmable 3-axis motorized control capability, the cameras also suitable for semiconductor inspection, microscopy, ophthalmology, and other areas where high dynamic range, maximum image quality and high light sensitivity are key requirements.
In addition to raw Bayer output, the color EL-2800C-PMCL model can perform in-camera color 24-bit RGB interpolation at 15.8 frames per second, while the monochrome EL-2800M-PMCL offers excellent NIR sensitivity and supports 1 by 2, 2 by 1, or 2 by 2 binning modes for even greater sensitivity.
The monochrome and color models feature fixed or variable partial scanning modes for increased frame rates, several trigger modes, and a 256-point look-up table.
Dual Mini Camera Link connectors support base or medium configurations to achieve maximum frame rates depending on the bit depth of the output. The cameras measure 62 by 62 by 55.5 millimeters.
