Pressure sensor for avionics, unmanned vehicles, weather buoys offered by Honeywell
PLYMOUTH, Minn., 17 Oct. 2013. The Honeywell Inc. Microelectronics & Precision Sensors segment in Plymouth, Minn., is introducing an enhanced version of the company's PPT2 precision pressure sensor for measuring pressure data in avionics, test and measurement, and meteorology applications.
The latest version of the pressure sensor is smaller and lighter weight than its predecessors. The PPT2 is electromagnetic interference (EMI)-compliant and designed with Honeywell's silicon sensor technology with microprocessor-based signal conditioning to conform to specifications of next-generation systems.
The sensor measures 2.47 by 0.97 by 1.56 inches and weighs 4.4 ounces. It is accurate to ±0.0375%FS over its operating temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.
Applications for the PPT2 include air data measurement in unmanned vehicles and commercial aircraft; meteorology measurements in data buoys; and flight test, instrumentation and calibration of test equipment.
