ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. -- Electronics and software manufacturer Shadin Avionics has been awarded a supplemental type certificate by the European Aviation Safety Agency for its R66 fuel flow management system.

The STC covers the installation of its "RemoteFlo" products on Robinson R66 helicopters and Rolls-Royce RR300 engines.

"Receiving the approval from the EASA is an important milestone," said Brad Jacobson, Shadin's Certifications and Field Service Manager. "R66 operators in Europe have not been able to take advantage of the benefit this system provides until now."

Shadin said RemoteFlo offers real-time fuel flow management information in a pilot's GPS or flight management system. The units can also provide specific range, fuel to destination, fuel reserve, endurance, and fuel flow, used and remaining data.
