Air Arabia selects Panasonic's in-flight tech solution for its fleet

Panasonic Avionics’ eXW solution will include Air Arabia’s Airbus A320neo, A321neo and A321XLR fleets. In total, 120 aircraft will be line fit at the OEM, and another 52 aircraft will be equipped under a retrofit program.

DUBAI -  Air Arabia in Sharja, United Arab Emirates needed updated in-flight entertainment (IFE) technology for its fleet of 172 aircraft. They found their solution from Panasonic Avionics Corporation in Irvine, Calif. Air Arabia selected Panasonic's eXW wireless in-flight entertainment (IFE) technology.

The agreement extends an existing program with six A321LRs already flying with Panasonic Avionics’ eXW solution to include Air Arabia’s Airbus A320neo, A321neo and A321XLR fleets. In total, 120 aircraft will be line fit at the OEM, and another 52 aircraft will be equipped under a retrofit program.

Panasonic says its eXW is designed to deliver a premium experience to Air Arabia’s passengers’ personal devices. The wireless entertainment available to passengers will also feature a suite of digital solutions from Panasonic Avionics, including its ArcTM Moving Map, Insights Data Analytics and OneMedia Advertising services. ArcTM, and Panasonic Avionics’ integrated moving map application.
