9 May 2025 - “As we accelerate toward global certification and scalable production, Honeywell’s aerospace expertise and proven track record in flight-critical systems make it the ideal partner for this next phase,” said Stuart Simpson, CEO of Vertical Aerospace. “By integrating production-ready technologies, we’re helping build an aircraft that meets the highest safety standards in aviation, solidifying its certifiability and exportability across global markets.”

As part of their expanded partnership, Honeywell in Phoenix and Vertical in London are working together to certify two of the VX4’s most vital systems: the aircraft management system—which features the Honeywell Anthem flight deck—and the compact fly-by-wire flight control system. The Anthem platform integrates cockpit displays, software, controls, and connectivity into a smart, digital interface designed to support automation and help pilots make faster, more informed decisions. The fly-by-wire system replaces traditional mechanical linkages with electronic controls, enhancing the aircraft’s stability, safety, and ease of flight.
