Solder cup components simplify making wired connections between circuit boards or devices and circuit boards by accepting and holding wires in place.

OYSTER BAY, N.Y. – Mill-Max Mfg. Corp. in Oyster Bay, N.Y., is introducing solder cup products for wire terminations, including connectors and discrete terminals suitable for a variety of spacing, height, and orientation requirements.

Solder cup components simplify making wired connections between circuit boards or devices and circuit boards. They accept and hold wires in place, eliminating the frustration of trying to manipulate them while performing the soldering operation.

The solder cup also allows the solder to pool and form around the wire for better solder joints and more reliable, robust connections.

Mill-Max has developed new manufacturing techniques and equipment to produce solder cup features for 2-millimeter and .05-inch-pitch connectors, right-angle and low-profile interconnects to be integrated into fine-pitch spring-loaded connectors.

Mill-Max expanding this solder cup product line by introducing these new solder cup connector configurations: .05-inch and 2-millimeter pitch headers with straight and right-angle solder tail options; .05-inch pitch sockets; .05-inch pitch spring-loaded connectors; and 0.1-inch pitch low profile headers.

Mill-Max solder cup connectors have high temperature insulators and uniformly aligned solder cups to facilitate efficient soldering. Some also have enhanced anti-rotation features. Single and double row are available for most series with right angle available only in single row.
