Inmarsat, military Ka-band SATCOM terminal for communications on land, sea, and air introduced by Paradigm
ALTON, England – Paradigm Communication Systems in Alton, England, is working together with Inmarsat in London to introduce the Paradigm HORNET 100GX satellite communications (SATCOM) terminal with type approval for use over Inmarsat's Global Xpress network for commercial and military Ka-band communications.
Global Xpress has been in U.S. government service since July 2014 for communications across land, sea, and air.
The HORNET 100GX flyaway terminal is a compact mobile multiband solution supplied with the Paradigm Interface Module to simplify operation, reduce operating costs, and operate satellite terminal hardware.
The modular satellite terminal provides access to advanced IP satellite services on the high-throughput Global Xpress network. The terminal supports Global Xpress and military Ka-band frequency bands.
The HORNET 100GX is a rugged and quick-to-deploy-and-stow terminal that does not require tools or special training, and enables non-skilled users to point this terminal in seconds. It has a segmented carbon-fiber antenna.
