ITT offers servomotor connector for applications with limited footprints

SANTA ANA, Calif., 24 Dec. 2007.ITT Interconnect Solutions in Santa Ana, Calif., is offering its Cm2 servomotor connectors with extended voltage range, which feature a voltage range from 48 to 630 volts AC.
Designed as a replacement for two mated pairs of circular connectors, the Cm2 connectors are for small servomotors applications such as industrial motion control, robotics, factory automation and material handling.
The Cm2 devices are half the length and weight of conventional circular connectors. The connector design enables simple harnessing and easy contact assembly.
The connectors feature crimp contacts, vibration resistance and are completely shielded and sealed, including two sealed entries for power and signal cables.
With one power and two signal connectors housed in the same package, current rating for the Cm2 servomotor connectors ranges from 3 amps at 80 degrees Celsius for the signal connectors to 10 amps at 80 C for the power connectors, with maximum voltages of 48 volts AC and 630 volts AC, respectively.
The Cm2 connectors feature a contact resistance of less than 10 milli ohms and an insulation resistance of more than 5000 milli ohms. Operating temperature ranges from -40 125 C. The connector meets IP65/IP67 ratings.
