PFlow Industries introduces RapidStack modular vertical reciprocating conveyor

MILWAUKEE - PFlow Industries, a manufacturer of vertical reciprocating conveyor (VRC) systems in Milwaukee, has introduced RapidStack, a modular VRC designed to reduce installation time, shorten lead times and simplify deployment for standard two-level, edge-of-mezzanine material handling applications.

The company said RapidStack uses a three-section architecture consisting of pre-built top and bottom assemblies paired with a made-to-order middle section. By preassembling major structural components and limiting fabrication to a single segment, the system is designed to streamline manufacturing and reduce field installation labor.

According to the company, the bolt-together configuration eliminates the need for on-site welding, reducing hot work requirements, associated permitting, and installation complexity. Adjustable bracing at the VRC structure-mezzanine interface is designed to support field alignment without welding.

RapidStack incorporates quick-connect electrical components, including a pre-integrated control panel and pre-wired systems intended to reduce installation time and simplify commissioning.

The system is designed for indoor, heated environments and supports up to 20 feet of vertical travel, speeds up to 30 feet per minute, and load capacities up to 2,500 pounds. It can be installed in pit or surface-mounted configurations with an optional ramp, and includes rotating top and bottom sections to accommodate load pattern requirements.

Safety and control features include 84-inch expanded metal full enclosures, bi-swing interlocked gates at both levels, limit switches, snap chain safety systems, push-button controls at both levels, and a micro PLC with fault indicator light and direct HMI interface.

PFlow said RapidStack is intended for applications requiring faster deployment and simplified installation in facilities such as warehouses, manufacturing plants, and distribution centers.
